12. Pizza and beer

I had to hold back my surprise as Mercy kissed me, as I didn't expect her to do something like this so suddenly. 'I know it's not the fake Mercy anymore, but what is going on with her?' I thought as I put my arms around her waist to pull her against me. 'Stop trying to assume something is wrong with her, Alaric. Maybe she just wanted to kiss you. Why are you acting like there has to be something wrong with her for showing you affection? Enjoy the moment while you have it.' I told myself as she put her hands on either side of my face as she pulled back softly to breathe before kissing me again. Her lips were just as soft as I imagined they would be, and I found it hard to hold back my growl as I sucked softly on her bottom lip, loving the taste of her lips against mine.
