I stared at Mercy's letter for a while, unable to believe what I was reading. She said I was incapable of love because I was a vampire? Though I had to admit I do quite enjoy killing, that does not make me unable to love. 'But to be fair, I've never loved, so I cannot say I know for a fact what that feels like. I imagine it is what I experience when I see Mercy.'
